My Way Or The Thai Way

By Ke’Bri, Teach In Thailand

10 Ways to know you’ve officially adjusted to your new life in Thailand:

1. You eat noodles with a spoon

2. You don’t care about the gecko living in your room. In fact, you may actually be glad he’s there to eat the bugs

3. You eat at restaurants with virtually no health codes to abide by

4. You buy fruit from random carts on the street

5. You are no longer surprised by whole families riding on one motorbike

6. You think in Baht

7. You no longer wonder if your server is a woman or a lady boy…you know

8. You are faithful to a Pad Thai Lady near you

9. A shower with walls, curtains or barriers of any kind is now considered fancy

10. You are now fluent in the language of charades. Its the best form of communication you have
