Dia en una Estancia

A few weeks ago, API took all of us to an estancia, an Argentine ranch, for a much needed day away from Buenos Aires. I love the city, but it’s refreshing to get out of it every couple of weeks.

Throughout the day we toured the soja (soy) fields, rode horses and learned about gauchos (ranch hands and herders, similar to cowboys). After an asado for lunch, we hung out by the pool and spent the afternoon playing pick up soccer (naturally, my team walked away with the W).

To end the day, we watched a polo match and were treated to a performance by a local folk band. The band also taught us how to dance and fortunately, there are no photos or videos of that.
