Completing the Granada Bucketlist: The Final Week

Liana Cramer is a student at the University of Notre Dame and an official API Student Blogger. Liana studied abroad this summer with API in Granada, Spain.

And just like that, my time in Spain is nearly over. In six days I will be leaving Granada with incredible memories of the city and a suitcase overflowing with gifts and souvenirs.

Atop the Alhambra

The past five weeks have gone by too quickly. Upon arriving in Granada, my friends and I made an ambitious bucket list of places to visit, cafes to enjoy, and sites to see. We have completed much of the list already, but still have so much more to do, and we certainly wouldn’t mind a second (or tenth) visit to many of these places. For those of you who might find yourself in Granada in the future, I’ll share a select few of the adventures we planned.

Bucketlist:
– Tapas Bar Hopping along Calle Nava
– Visiting the Arab Baths
– Hiking in the Sierra Nevadas
– Visiting La Mirador de San Nicolas at sunset and sunrise
– Going to the discoteca Camboria, which has an incredible view of the Alhambra
– Watching a soccer game at Paddys, the Irish Pub
– Singing karoake at Hannagan’s Bar
– Eating at a Morrocan Restaurant in the Albacin neighborhood
– Drinking Moroccan tea at a teteria
– Visiting Granada’s Cathedral
– Picnicking in Parque Garcia Lorca
– Visiting the Alhambra
– Seeing a Flamenco Show in las cuevas
– Exploring the neighbhorhood of Sacramonte and the gypsy caves

Now, I’ve got one week left and am looking forward to making use of every moment of it.
