Meet CE by API’s Newest Blogger from Colombia

My name is Kelly and I am graduating college in December.  I have been bitten by the travel bug after my recent travels to Toledo, Spain.  I see teaching English in Colombia as the perfect way to discover more about the world around me. I love the company of good people and good conversation and believe these are the things that make life purposeful.  I believe the best things learned are through a vast array of experiences.  Meeting new people from all different walks of life fascinates me which can best be explained by my passionate interest in different cultures.  The best ways all of these things can be captured are by journaling or taking pictures to share them with the rest of the world.  I enjoy photography, cooking and dancing(though I have much room for improvement in all of these areas), and most of all, traveling down the unbeaten path.  I want to discover new things and interpret them in a completely unique way that is reflective of my individual self.  Teaching English will allow me to help benefit the lives of those who seek a challenge of learning an entirely new language.  English as a universal language will open up the world to the Colombian people.  This will be a journey that will allow me to explore a new culture while helping its people to grow.  It’s an information exchange and I could not be more excited to take on this new experience…Stay tuned!
