Meet Our Bloggers- Fall 2016

Each semester the API blog features a crew of thoughtful, hardworking and passionate bloggers. The team will share their abroad experience via writing, videography, photography… a mix of expressive mediums to tell their API story; presenting an opportunity to explore right alongside our students! Meet the Fall 2016 blogger crew:


Anthony Morfin

Anthony Morfin is a sophomore Biology (STEM) major from Oregon State University. He will be spending his fall semester in Salamanca, Spain. Anthony currently runs a lifestyle blog on Instagram that he has used to share his previous time abroad in Guatemala, trips to National Parks, and everyday life between adventures.




Emily Visconti

Emily Visconti is a Junior English major from Worcester State University. Emily will be studying in Florence, Italy. Emily hopes that her personal love for writing, reading, drawing and photography will help her in inspiring others to catch the “travel bug”. The Harry Potter aficionado is also a student athlete. She runs track for Worcester State, and will be navigating the balance between keeping up with her running and exploring a brand new foreign city.




IMG_0360 Ebeny Jazelle Torres is a Junior Communications/Humanities and Latin American Studies major from Regis College who is spending her fall term in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Self-proclaimed “undying optimist” Ebeny, is most excited about joining on-campus organizations, such as her abroad university’s choir!





Sarah Nichols

Sarah Nichols is a Senior Economics (Accounting) and French major from the University of Alaska-Anchorage. Sarah will be spending the academic year in Grenoble, France. Sarah was born and raised in Fairbanks, Alaska and is the third of seven siblings. An outdoor enthusiast who has adjusted to the 24 hour long summer days, and sunlight-less winters of Alaska, snapping photos along the way!




Natasha Archuleta

Natasha Archuleta is a Junior from the University of Colorado- Colorado Springs who will be spending the fall in Cork, Ireland. Natasha is a STEM major, studying Biology.  Natasha is motivated by her passion for adventure and spontaneity. Natasha who has mastered appreciating the little things aims to inspire and support wannabe-travelers!




Gianluca D'Elia

Gianluca D’Elia is a Junior Journalism major with a minor in Political Science from Rider University. He will be spending the Fall semester in Rome, Italy. Gianluca is an award-winning journalist and is the resident advisor, radio host/ producer and social media editor for his campus newspaper: The Rider News. His journalism savvy and personal interest in politics will make for a semester filled with goods read from Rome!




Leah Sharaby

Leah Sharaby is a Junior Linguistics Major and Spanish Minor studying in Seville, Spain. Leah is from Western Washington University. Leah spent time abroad for the first time as a High School student after being inspired by a teacher. Just about half a decade later, she’s at it again! Her interest in cultural immersion and love for the unfamiliar will lead to some great stories!




Sarah Hasselberger

Sarah Hasselberger is a Senior from Wagner College studying in Dublin, Ireland. Sarah is an Arts Administration Major from Wagner College. Sarah is a current video blogger, creating how-to videos on all things beauty, fashion, and lifestyle and helping her fellow video-blogger mom capture and edit her own day-in-the-life style posts!




Jacquelyn Zeman

Jacquelyn Zeman is a Senior from Central Michigan University and will be participating in our internship program in London, England. Jacquelyn is a Public Relations/Advertising Major with a love for writing and photography. She anchors the student broadcast on CMU’s campus, and is constantly seeking out opportunities to interview others!
