As you may have heard, there have been protests reported and scheduled across France that could affect access to transportation or other public services. These protests are in response to societal debates in France about proposed changes to the retirement age and pension benefits, and are not directed at foreigners or international students. API has been carefully monitoring the situation from our U.S. offices, as well as through our API centers resident directors in France. The resident directors have been alerting students of potential areas to avoid and reminding them of the appropriate safety measures that they learned in their pre-departure and on-site orientations.
