    Hello!
I am so sorry this is so late, but I had been extremely busy in the past couple of months with various projects and studying for different activities. I was wondering if there is yet any space at all or wait list or any way for me to apply for any abroad programs in Spanish speaking countries at ASPIRE for the upcoming summer 2013. I had been looking into these programs since the winter/spring of 2012 and think it a perfect way to spend the summer. I unfortunately waited until this year when I would finish taking my Spanish class to apply and had sent emails before regarding application, but could find little time during the actual application period. I will be away with family business from June 28 until July 5, but I was wondering if there would be any trips after this time that I could possibly join or apply for.
I am currently a junior at South Pasadena High School and studying AP Spanish and am intrigued by the study of Spanish culture and language. For this, I practice my Spanish with some patients at Huntington Hospital where I have volunteered for 1.5 years and also at Ronald McDonald House for travelling low income hospital patients and families. I aspire to be a cosmopolitan and live my life exploring the ways and wisdoms of different parts of the world and even within differences of groups at home. I enjoy meeting and talking to others to grow myself and to help each other. My curiosity and love for travel and new atmospheres has taken me travelling on my own to San Francisco by bus where I met many people and absolutely loved the experience, in addition to a mission trip to Mexico where I also practiced Spanish. I am also very involved in activities and love meeting new people and am outgoing, with several leadership positions such as president of a club for service as well as one of thirteen commissioners elected at our school to run the school events and activities.
I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and tardiness of this inquiry but will be overjoyed and extremely gratified if I were to be given a chance. Thank you and I hope the best for what is to come!

    All the best,
    Jake Sim
