API Study Abroad Partner In U.A.E. Now AACSB Accredited!

API is pleased to announce that another of our study abroad partners – The American University of Sharjah (AUS) – has achieved the prestigious AACSB accreditation!

The American University of Sharjah

The AACSB, or Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, was established in 1916 as a membership organization for business schools. According to their site:

The AACSB Accreditation Standards are used as the basis to evaluate a business school’s mission, operations, faculty qualifications and contributions, programs, and other critical areas. AACSB accreditation ensures students and parents that the business school is providing a top-quality education. It also ensures employers that AACSB-accredited business school graduates are ready to perform on day one. Additionally, AACSB accreditation provides many benefits to the faculty and staff at its accredited schools by attracting higher quality students, providing greater research opportunities, and allowing for global recognition.

Fewer than 5% of the business schools in the world carry the AACSB distinction including API’s programs at Grenoble Ecole de Management, Qatar University, and University College Dublin (API’s business courses at Lorenzo de’Medici – The Italian International Institute are also AACSB certified in conjunction with Marist College).

API students at AUS may choose from a variety of business courses taught in English in the American style of higher education along with Emiratis and Arab students of other nationalities. Business courses available include business information systems, business legal issues, finance, management, marketing, and more!

API has also dropped the price of our program at AUS, making it one of the more affordable options for an AACSB accredited international business program (in this press release you can see part of their new business school building). Now is a perfect time to start planning your spring 2012 study abroad program to Sharjah!
