New Portugal Summer Study Abroad Program? Sim, por favor!

“Lisbon is the kind of place where you can easily get lost. The kind of lost that anyone likes and everyone needs. In Lisbon you won’t only feel the true essence of Portugal in the air, but it’s also the place where you will be transformed into a true Portuguese yourself. After walking through its charming maze-like streets, while listening to Fado as background music (our national music genre), and tasting the best food in the world, you will fall in love with this city and really understand why you chose it as the place to live part of your life!” – Marta, API Lisbon Resident Director

API is pleased to announce a new summer study abroad program in Lisbon, Portugal! Through API’s partnership with the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, ISCTE, and NOVA, summer students will take one English-taught course on Portuguese culture and history and one Portuguese language course. This program is open to all levels of Portuguese speakers so if you’ve ever wanted to learn Portuguese, this is a great opportunity!

Full of old world tradition and charm, Lisbon is one of the most affordable and undiscovered of Europe’s capital! Students get the chance to participate in cultural activities and excursions ranging from Jerónimos Monastery in Belem to the National Palace of Sintra and many others.
